General Sherman Returns to Acworth

Highlights for the Weekend:

Union Civil War Encampment at the Lemon House Grounds open for visitors at dusk on March 28 and all day on March 29.


Historic Military Impressions throughout the day on March 29 - Artillery Display, Civil War Hospital, Working Telegraph and Signal Flag Demonstrations, Manual of Arms and Musket Firing, Civil War Photography, Supply Wagon Display and  more!


Civilian Life in Acworth During the Civil War - Cooking in the 1860s, Lye Soap Making, Civil War Era Masonry and much more!


Watch General Sherman "ride down Lemon Street and arrive at his HQ location to start the Marker Dedication Ceremony on March 29, 2025.
